Visitors from Perth

Hi Folks,
In December Stacey and Ashleigh the graduate students of Lumen Christi College took their own initiative to visit Matrix Charity in Tamil-Nadu, South India.

They visited (in the order as shown above)  the Handicapped Student School in Kuzhiturai,  Matrix House in Attoor and Pottaiyadi village, within Kanyakumari District, one of the many Matrix Health Group projects.

Community Kitchen

Hello again,
In October there was a ceremony for the official opening of a school support building. Matrix Charity had a part in the construction of  a "Community Kitchen" project; Mrs Barbara Bolding of Lumen Christi College in Perth made a generous contribution to it. Community Kitchen currently supplies around 300 lunches for the students of the poorest families in the area.

Around that time there was a Holy Mass celebrated in the Divine Mercy Chapel at Matrix House in Attoor and our resident boys put on some stage production

Matrix Health Group

Hi Friends,
Since mid-2010 I've told you quite a bit in our quarterly "Matrix News" about Matrix Health Groups (MHG).
Here is an illustration of that work with handicapped people. In late August a Holy Mass was celebrated by
Fr Maria Arputham for the impaired people followed by a function organised in their honor.

On 15th of August our Matrix friends in India celebrate their national day of independence.
Later in the morning the boys go to their respective schools... afterward, play is a part of community building

a few pictures of life at Matrix Charity in August 2011

Hi Matrix Friends,
Our boys at Attoor, while living there, have regular performing arts practice as part of their formation

In the church next door there is copy of a great painting "Ecce Homo" donated by Adam Zydek; it's a masterpiece of Christian art to meditate on Christ's Passion
Mr Jebince, the new minder since March, on above photo (far left) and below makes a solid mark in the formation of Matrix boys
Finally, for this update: Sibin (below) heading off to college - our Matrix student who is currently
the Civil Engineering Diploma scholarship beneficiary
